Dollar Climbs Vs Most Majors Ahead Of U.S. Consumer Confidence Index

(RTTNews) - The Conference Board is due to release the results of its U.S. consumer confidence survey for August at 10 am ET Tuesday. The consensus estimate calls for the index to have remained unchanged at 97.3.
Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback declined against the pound, it climbed against the yen, euro and the franc.
The greenback was worth 1.1151 against the euro, 1.3113 against the pound, 102.65 against the yen and 0.9823 against the franc as of 9:55 am ET.
