Pound Mixed Ahead Of U.K. Public Finance Data

(RTTNews) - At 4:30 am ET Tuesday, U.K 's Office for National Statistics is expected to release its public borrowing figures. Public borrowing is estimated to decrease to GBP 10.5 billion in June from GBP 13.3 billion in May.

Ahead of the data, the pound showed mixed trading against the other major currencies. While the pound rose against the franc and the euro, it declined against the yen and the greenback.

The pound was worth 1.7069 against the greenback, 173.22 against the yen, 0.7908 against the euro and 1.5364 against the franc as of 4:25 am ET.
