Pound Rises After U.K. Retail Sales

(RTTNews) - After the release of U.K. retail sales data for December at 4:30 am ET Friday, the pound rose against its major opponents.
The pound was trading at 1.4982 against the greenback, 177.17 against the yen, 0.7521 against the euro and 1.3061 against the franc around 4:32 am ET.
