Yen Rises Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The Japanese yen strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.

The yen rose to more than a 1-1/2-month high of 123.19 against the Swiss franc, from an early low of 123.38.

Against the euro, the pound and the U.S. dollar, the yen edged up to 132.15, 182.73 and 119.92 from yesterday's closing quotes of 132.41, 183.04 and 120.11, respectively.

If the yen extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 113.03 against the Swiss franc, 129.63 against the euro, 179.80 against the pound and 118.02 against the greenback.
