SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry has named John Moss and Stephen Rivera of Brass Junkie Co. designers for its 50,000 square foot entertainment venue, scheduled to open in Sioux Falls on November 26. Moss and Rivera are Huntington Beach-based artists that specialize in using vintage reclaimed products to create hand-crafted industrial pieces and interior design.

"John's unique artistry blends the grit of vintage motorcycles and hot rods, reclaimed wood and his own unique style to create some of the most striking designs in the country," said Chuck Brennan, founder of Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry. "He is the perfect fit to bring our vision for Badlands to life. Every guest who walks its doors will not only have endless opportunities for entertainment, but will get to enjoy John's captive eye and the Brass Junkie Co.'s unique custom stylings." The company's work can be seen at the MGM, Vegas Rock Casino, The Rock Wood Fired Pizza and Affliction stores worldwide.

John Moss, dubbed the "Brass Monkey," has been an artist and designer for nearly 20 years and has worked with California's most iconic destinations including Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland. He personally designs and installs every custom finish and sculpture for clients around the world.

Stephen Rivera, who has teamed with Moss over the last few years on various projects, has been designing and building for the same tenure. Together they have formed a powerful bond and are co-creating a myriad of industrial arts concepts for unique and famous brands worldwide. A visual marketing resource who is responsible for hundreds of atypical installations, Rivera is a viable addition to the company's commercial, retail and industrial design teams. His co-creative atypical work is seen in the famous red colored casings at the LACMA Resnick Pavilion. "Rivera has the technical know-how, and the means, to take a concept to the delivered phase," said Brennan.

Badlands has also selected Action Target to design its indoor gun range. Action Target is the global leader in the development of shooting ranges and an industry leading business serving the needs of law enforcement, military and commercial organizations.

"Action Target will help us create a state-of-the-art shooting range that will be able to host weapons of all kinds...from handguns to fully automatic style guns," said Brennan. The multi-million dollar range will include 14 lanes, a VIP area, viewing areas, gun classes, self-defense classes and other instructional opportunities. "We are proud to provide local law enforcement access to the facility at no charge. This is one of many ways Badlands will give back to its community," said Brennan.

Design and construction are underway for the $15 million Badlands, which is set to become one of South Dakota's largest tourist destinations in the heart of Sioux Falls. Its in-house Badlands Radio Network has already named "Metal Cowboy" Ron Keel DJ and bandleader for Badlands' house band. Popular local DJ Crash has been named DJ and host of "The Morning Crash." With an in-house tattoo shop, shooting range, foundry and mint, and much more, Badlands will be the place to visit time and time again.

Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry will open Thanksgiving Day, 2015 and plans to be open from 9 am to 9 pm every day of the year. For more information, visit www.badlandspawn.com.
