FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.,
Dec. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In
a world first for destination marketing, the Greater Fort
Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched the 24/7
digital TV network – "Hello Sunny TV" – to highlight its growing
appeal to affluent and millennial travelers.
The major initiative to deliver exciting new content and
exposure for Greater Fort
Lauderdale was launched on Saturday,
December 3. During the launch weekend a full-day schedule of
programming including scenes from Riptide Music Festival on
Fort Lauderdale beach, provided
viewers behind-the-scenes access of the premier event headlined by
AWOLNATION and Miike Snow on
Saturday and the B-52's and Earth, Wind & Fire on Sunday. Hello
Sunny TV, or HSTV, went live with interviews from festival
headliners and audience experiences to put travelers considering a
vacation to Greater Fort
Lauderdale into the heart of the festival within the comfort
of their own devices.
Hello Sunny TV was announced by Greater Fort Lauderdale
President and CEO, Stacy Ritter, at
the 2017 Marketing Plan luncheon on Thursday, December 1, including the unveiling of
a new advertising campaign that promises to take the brand to new
heights in breathtaking and engaging ways across all mediums.
Additional public relations, social media and influencer program to
highlight the destination's transformation to a landscape of
eclectic food, fashion, arts, events, nightlife and entertainment
will complement the ad campaign. Hello Sunny TV was developed by
the CVB's advertising agency, Starmark International.
"Being the first destination to launch an entire network of
activity, not just a channel, is an indication of our confidence,
and investment, in our community as the best brand ambassadors to
communicate Greater Fort
Lauderdale's unique appeal through compelling content
delivered in an interactive way," said Stacy Ritter, president and CEO, Greater Fort
Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Hello Sunny TV network will include a LIVE weekly show
planned to launch in early 2017, and will preview the upcoming
week's events and activities, as well as a dining segment and
spotlight on the people and personalities behind Greater Fort Lauderdale.
While the network has scheduled programming in progress with
programs and live streaming webcams over the destination's beaches
throughout the day, viewers can also access a growing library of
on-demand programming about Greater Fort
Lauderdale within a variety of categories, including Dining,
Family Fun, Nature, Fashion/Culture/Arts, Festivals, Sports &
Fitness, Urban/Multicultural, LGBTQ, Nightlife, Weddings &
Honeymoons, Tours & Excursions, Festivals & Events, Dive
& Snorkel, and more. There are multilingual programs
available in Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
The new Hello Sunny TV is available on desktop and mobile
devices at Sunny.org/tv, smart TVs and streaming media players like
Apple TV 4 and will soon be available on Roku. All live content
will also be streamed through the @VisitLauderdale Facebook
