1536 GMT Any latent speculation agricultural commodities giant Louis Dreyfus Commodities BV might be considering going public were dashed Thursday when the company's majority shareholder Margarita Louis-Dreyfus announced she has upped her stake in the holding company that owns 85% of the commodities merchant and vowed to maintain her super majority. Despite Glencore's high profile IPO a few years ago, Louis Dreyfus is not alone among commodities companies in seeking to remain closely-held. Many of the world's biggest independent traders say public ownership doesn't suit their business model. Ms. Louis-Dreyfus upped her stake in Louis Dreyfus holding to 80% from 65% in December for an undisclosed sum. (Sarah.Kent@wsj.com)
