SSE Sells Gas Connections Unit to SEP Fund For GBP52.7 Million

U.K. utility SSE PLC (SSE.LN) said Monday it sold SSE Pipelines
Ltd, an independent gas transporter, to the Environmental Capital
Fund, a new fund managed by Scottish Equity Partners, for an
estimated 52.7 million pounds ($87.6 million).
The disposal of the unit, which provides gas connections to new
residential and commercial developments across the U.K., is part of
a program of asset and business sales announced earlier this year,
SSE said.
Shares were little changed after the announcement, trading one
pence higher at 1,519 pence.
