Day Two of the DEMO Fall 2012 Conference, world-renowned for launching the most innovative technology products in the industry, featured provocative new innovations in the areas of social, infrastructure, health and education technology, as well as insightful expert conversations about the prospects and impact of these exciting technologies and applications. Over the past two days, 77 demonstrators and six Alpha Pitch companies representing 11 countries -- from Russia to Israel to Japan -- have taken the stage to showcase today and tomorrow's most innovative technologies.

DEMO executive producer Matt Marshall hosted one-on-one conversations with Twitter Co-Founder Evan Williams, discussing lessons learned from a lifetime of entrepreneurship, and Scott Case, CEO of the Startup America Partnership, on supporting young, high-growth companies and the expansion of Startup America in regions across the U.S. Marshall also conducted a one-on-one conversation with Salesforce.com COO George Hu about successfully funding a company and managing multiple revenue streams. Rounding out the day's speakers was The IT Buyer Perspective panel, including executives from Intuit, Fox Group and NASA, who shared insights into the needs of the modern CIO and how entrepreneurs can provide even more value.

"Whether they were addressing the growing need for digital education or the next generation of infrastructure that will connect users to their increasingly complex technologies, this year's demonstrators were impressive," said Marshall. "We look forward to watching these companies grow and witnessing the next pain points they choose to address."

Other speaker highlights from day two included top executives and expert "sages."

  • Google, Foundry Group, Telefonica Digital and Greylock Partners executives offered insights into the ever-growing social technology market;
  • IBM Venture Capital, Microsoft, Founder Institute and SoftTech VC executives discussed innovations in the infrastructure technology market;
  • Health in Reach, Rock Health and DCM executives spoke to exciting health and education technology markets.
