Retroficiency, provider of the on-demand Building Efficiency Intelligence (BEI) platform, today announced the launch of its new advisory board. The board, which consists of several well-recognized figures in the energy efficiency industry, will be tasked with helping guide the company in its next phase of growth and product development.

The board's expertise spans several strategic market segments for Retroficiency. The four initial members are:

  • Bill Richardson, who sought the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in 2008. He recently completed his second term as Governor of New Mexico in January 2011. As Governor, Richardson made New Mexico the "Clean Energy State" by requiring utilities to meet 20% of New Mexico's electrical demand from renewable sources, and established a Renewable Energy Transmission Authority to deliver New Mexico's world-class renewable resources to market. Richardson served for 15 years in northern New Mexico representing the 3rd Congressional District. Richardson served in 1997 as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and in 1998, he was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy. In 2011, Richardson was named Chairman of APCO Worldwide's Global Political Strategies.
  • Paul Dickerson, an attorney and investment banker, and a recognized leader and sought-after speaker on all matters related to energy. He practices law with Mintz Levin's Corporate & Securities Section in Boston, while also working as a Managing Director for the investment bank of WoodRock & Co. in Houston. Mr. Dickerson served as Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) from 2006 until his return to Haynes and Boone (where he worked as an associate from 2000 to 2005). He oversaw the EERE's $1.8 billion budget and helped move new energy technologies from the "vision" stage to commercial development. He also served as Chief of Staff for the United States and Foreign Commercial Service at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
  • Ron Weidner, founder of the Greenprint Foundation, a worldwide alliance of real estate owners, investors, financial institutions and other industry stakeholders committed to reducing carbon emissions across the global property industry. Mr. Weidner is the former Chief Investment Officer and a Member of the Board of Allianz Real Estate and has more than three decades of experience in real estate lending, development, investment management and operations in the U.S, Europe and key markets in Asia with major blue chip financial institutions and privately-held real estate companies.
  • Eric Teicholz, president and founder of Graphic Systems, Inc. Mr. Teicholz has more than 25 years of experience helping organizations define and implement facility management related technology. An author of 12 books, Teicholz is a Fellow of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) where he is a Director for IFMA's Board of Directions, was Chair of the organization's Sustainability Committee for four years and co-chairs their sustainability Knowledge Management group. He is a member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Facility Advisory Council and recently joined the Board of the Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment, Federal Facilities Council, at the National Academy of Sciences. Teicholz was awarded the Department of the Navy's Superior Public Service Medal in recognition for his efforts on a blue ribbon FM panel defining the future strategy for all Naval Shore Facilities.

"We are honored and privileged to have four industry thought leaders join our advisory board," said Bennett Fisher, CEO and co-founder, Retroficiency. "The commitment of each member further validates Retroficiency's unique software technology and strategy designed to evaluate building energy efficiency opportunities at scale. Their experience and insights will be a tremendous asset to the company."
