NOTES TO EDITORS: President of the
Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev came up with the idea
of the G-Global communicative platform in late 2011 as a way of
addressing the continuing international economic crisis and
achieving a fairer global economic system.
The idea was to provide a platform for anyone interested in
global economic affairs to discuss the problems of the
international economic system and offer solutions for improving
it.
The hope was that significantly expanding the number of those
seeking solutions to the global economic problems would lead to
ideas that policy-makers around the world had overlooked.
Since it started, G-Global has brought together thousands of
experts and members of the public from around 150 countries.
