Zoosk, the romantic social network, announced today that signups for Couple Profiles has reached 3.3 million users in the six months since launching. Today, 15 percent of new Zoosk signups are registered to use Couple Profiles.

With the launch of Couple Profiles in April 2012, Zoosk became the first major social network to offer a dedicated place for couples to create, store and share their relationship milestones and memories with family and friends. Zoosk released Couple Profiles to begin offering services that cater to every stage of an individual's romantic journey.

Zoosk analyzed usage patterns of its members to identify relationship status, geographical distribution, romantic moments shared and most popular features. Some of the key findings are as follows:

  • Of Couple Profiles users, 50 percent are married, 40 percent are in a committed relationship and 10 percent are engaged.
  • Since its debut, 1.5 million romantic moments have been posted through Couple Profiles, and of these posts 1 million have included photos.
  • The top ten countries, which account for 65 percent of Zoosk's Couple Profiles traffic, are the United States, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Argentina, France, Turkey, Great Britain and Spain.

"Finding a significant other is just one stage of a person's romantic life," said Alex Mehr, co-founder and co-CEO, Zoosk. "Six months ago, we introduced a joint profile that allows couples to share their romantic journey with friends and family. Millions of people have already embraced the new feature validating the market need for such an offering."
