Bril is currently an owner of the Decorus Group, a real estate
group based in Sunny Isles Beach
specializing in luxury residential and commercial real estate,
property management and asset management. He served previously as
Board Chairman of Security Bank NA -- which was acquired by Banesco
USA in May.
Bril has held senior management roles in the consumer financial
services industry spanning the US and international markets for
more than three decades. He spent most of that time with BNP
Paribas, serving the worldwide banking consortium as a leading
executive in Amsterdam,
London, Geneva, Paris, México, Panamá, and in South Florida as head of BNP Paribas Miami
Agency and chairman of the bank's Investment Services.
While in South Florida, he was
president of the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA),
and head of International Wealth Management at SunTrust.
"We are delighted to have Seno
Bril with his extensive experience in international wealth
management and worldwide corporate and private banking joining our
board of directors," said Rafael "Rafo" Saldaña, President and CEO
of Banesco USA. "The invaluable
market and regulatory expertise he brings to our institution will
enable us to further accomplish all our domestic and international
initiatives."
Bril's appointment to the Banesco USA board follows the election of veteran
international banker Carlos
Palomares as board chairman in March. Palomares replaced
Coral Gables Mayor Raúl J.
Valés-Fauli, who had chaired Banesco USA since the bank's beginnings in 2006.
Bril holds a degree in international relations from the
Geneva-based Graduate Institute of
International Studies. He is also a political-science graduate of
the University of Geneva. He is a
dual citizen of the United States
and the Netherlands, and is fluent
in four languages.
Since its launching more than six years ago as a homegrown
commercial bank, Banesco USA has
been gradually expanding in South
Florida's competitive banking market. It has increased its
branch presence and now has six locations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, and one in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Banesco USA earned $2.6 million as of Sept.
30 year to date, and reported $733
million in total assets for the same period. Year to date,
loan portfolio grew by 61percent when compared to the same prior
year period. New local loan commitments also increased by more than
110 percent during the same period.
"Our solid third-quarter results show we have become a market
leader supporting the growth of South
Florida with a focus on consumers, small businesses, and the
real estate industry", Saldaña noted.
Banesco USA has its main
