Dr. Jennifer Scott Elected To Chair Of The Board For SeaWeb
WASHINGTON, Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaWeb, an
international non-profit focused on driving greater public
engagement on ocean health, announced today that Dr. Jennifer Scott has been selected to chair its
board of directors. Dr. Scott, a specialist in strategic
communications, serves as the Global Managing Director of Ogilvy
Public Relations' Strategy+Planning Group and has been a member of
SeaWeb's board of directors since 2010.

Dr. Scott has been instrumental in the guidance she has provided
to SeaWeb, including helping refresh the organization's own
messaging and collaborating to produce SeaWeb's 2011 Super Bowl
commercial with renowned videographer Bob
Talbot. Throughout her tenure with SeaWeb, Dr. Scott has
been a leader on the board, most recently serving as chair of
SeaWeb's Fundraising Advisory Committee. The new position will take
effect March 1, 2013.

A graduate of the University of KwaZulu/Natal, South Africa (BA) and Oxford University, England (Ph.D.), Dr. Scott currently is the
the Global Managing Director of Ogilvy Public Relations' (Ogilvy
PR) Strategy+Planning Group and based in their New York headquarters. In that role, she has
primary responsibility for a cross-disciplinary team of the
agency's most senior practitioners working to elevate strategic
excellence, creativity and campaign effectiveness. Dr. Scott's
expertise in audience profiling, social trend analysis and the
dynamics of behavior change helps inform her communications counsel
to clients worldwide. Previously, Dr. Scott was president of
StrategyOne, Edelman's specialist research company, and has also
worked at Shepardson Stern + Kaminsky and at Bozell/Sawyer Miller
Group.
