LONDON--Standard Chartered PLC (STAN.LN) said Tuesday it has
appointed Euan Campbell from Santander Group to a newly created
senior role in retail banking.
Mr.Campbell will be Global Head, Retail Segments, Retail
Clients, a move designed to help drive the bank's client focused
strategy in retail banking. He will also help deepen client
relationships and effectively capture new opportunities across
Asia, Africa and the Middle East, the Asia-focused bank said.
Mr. Campbell joins from Santander Group where he was executive
vice president responsible for the strategic direction of its U.S.
cards business.
Standard Chartered's retail clients business serves the banking
needs of over 10 million individual and business clients across 34
markets in Asia, Africa and Middle East.
