DETROIT, Dec. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced that its Greater Michigan practice will donate a total of $750,000 to the Cornerstone Schools Association, funded through grants from the PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc.  In addition to the funding, PwC's Greater Michigan employees have also continued to show their support by volunteering their time and talent to help further their impact within the local community. PwC employees in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Toledo have donated over 6,000 hours to local charitable organizations in the market last year alone.

The funds will be used by the Cornerstone Schools Association solely for scholarships and will endow the Ernestine Sanders Scholarship Fund for Excellence.
