The euro weakened against the other major currencies ahead of European deals on Tuesday.

The euro fell to a 5-day low of 1.0696 against the U.S. dollar, from an early high of 1.0750.

Pulling away from an early 6-day high of 1.3961 against the Australian dollar, the euro depreciated to 1.3909.

The euro edged down to 127.82 against the yen, 0.7192 against the pound and 1.0249 against the Swiss franc, from early highs of 128.29, 0.7209 and 1.0274, respectively.

Against the New Zealand and the Canadian dollars, the euro edged down to 1.4002 and 1.3121 from early highs of 1.4053 and 1.3162, respectively.

If the euro extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 1.04 against the greenback, 1.35 against the aussie, 126.00 against the yen, 0.70 against the pound, 1.00 against the Swiss franc, 1.39 against the kiwi and 1.30 against the loonie.
