SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Health
Catalyst, a leader in healthcare data warehousing, analytics and
outcomes improvement, announced the upcoming appointment of
Dan Strong as Chief Financial
Officer effective October 1,
2015.
Strong has served for over seven years as Chief Financial
Officer (CFO) of Control4 (NASDAQ: CTRL), a leading provider of
automation systems for homes and businesses, including playing a
central role in Control4's transition from private to
publicly-traded company. He will lead finance for Health Catalyst
as the company continues to grow and expand operations to support
healthcare transformation. Current Health Catalyst CFO
Jeff Selander will become the
company's Chief People Officer, expanding the role he has played
for several years leading human resources, infrastructure, and
culture.
"We are at a critical stage in our growth, supporting the
ever-increasing demand for outcomes improvement with our health
system clients," said Dan Burton,
CEO of Health Catalyst. "Dan has the breadth of finance and
operations experience we need to help our company continue to grow
and scale. And we are excited to expand Jeff's role in building the
resources and infrastructure needed to maintain our company
mission, vision and culture during this time of rapid growth."
Strong brings more than 20 years of public company and start-up
experience in operations, finance, strategy, and mergers and
acquisitions. Prior to joining Control4, Strong spent five
years as the CFO at iBAHN, a leader in hospitality networking.
Before iBAHN, he worked for 14 years at Iomega Corporation as vice
president of financial planning and analysis, vice president and
corporate controller, and interim CFO. Strong has also held
executive-level corporate finance positions at Campus Pipeline,
Inc., and Pro Image Corp.
"In this era of healthcare industry flux, improving clinical and
financial outcomes is paramount," said Dan Strong, incoming
CFO of Health Catalyst. "Health Catalyst's deep, mission-driven
focus on outcomes improvement has enabled the company to build a
sustainable, industry-leading business model. I am delighted to
join a leadership team that is deeply committed to scaling this
company to enable us to accomplish this crucial mission."
Internal Transition Supports Growth of Client Operations and
Product Development
In a related move, Health Catalyst Co-Founder and Executive Vice
President Tom Burton, currently in
charge of product development, will join Co-Founder and Executive
Vice President Steve Barlow in
leading the company's client operations organization. Dale Sanders, currently Senior Vice President of
Strategy, will assume the role of Executive Vice President of
Product Development.
"Enabling our customers to successfully and scalably improve
outcomes is our central objective as a company, and this transition
supports that goal by significantly enhancing our high-performing
client operations organization and adding a true industry innovator
to our already-strong product development organization," said
Dan Burton. "Tom and Steve have been
incredible partners from day one, and together they bring enormous
credibility, experience and synergistic partnership to help us
scale to serve 10 times the number of clients we currently serve.
And Dale, as the father of the Late-Binding enterprise data
warehouse, an experienced healthcare CIO, and a mentor to many
healthcare IT leaders, is uniquely suited to help us grow and
continue to be a prolific source of technology innovations for
healthcare."
Sanders has been an influential leader in healthcare analytics
and data warehousing since his earliest days in the industry,
starting at Intermountain Healthcare, where he was a primary
architect of the health system's enterprise data warehouse (EDW)
infrastructure and regional director of medical informatics at LDS
Hospital. Sanders also served as the CIO of Northwestern University's physician group and the
chief architect of the Northwestern Medical EDW, as well as CIO of
