GBPJPY Pound Sterling vs Japanese Yen

The British pound weakened against the other major currencies in the pre-European session on Friday.

The pound fell to more than a 2-week low of 0.7712 against the euro, from an early high of 0.7677.

Against the Swiss franc, the yen and the U.S. dollar, the pound dropped to a 9-day low of 1.4429, an 8-day low of 169.49 and a 2-day low of 1.4513 from early highs of 1.4490, 170.53 and 1.4591, respectively.

If the pound extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.78 against the euro, 1.42 against the franc, 164.00 against the yen and 1.42 against the greenback.
