TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Coast
Wrestling announced that newly crowned PCW Heavyweight Champion,
Pentagon Jr., will make his first title defense against wrestling
legend, "RVD" Rob Van Dam, as part
of "Clear the Way" on November 12,
2016 at the Oak Street Gym in Torrance, CA.
Pentagon Jr. became the inaugural PCW Champion by defeating
Willie Mack and "The F'N Machine"
Brian Cage in a title tournament at
"Title Wave" on August 20. Pentagon
Jr. has also held titles in Lucha Underground (current Champion)
and Mexico's AAA promotion
(current Latin American Champion, former World Tag Team
Champion).
Van Dam's legendary career has
spanned over two decades, having wrestled for WCW, ECW, WWE and
TNA. His championship resume is extensive – ECW Tag Team Champion,
ECW Television Champion, ECW World Champion, WWE Tag Team Champion,
WWE Hardcore Champion, WWE Intercontinental Champion, WWE European
Champion, WWE Champion, TNA X Division Champion and TNA Heavyweight
Champion. Van Dam, who is a trained
kickboxer and martial artist, has also appeared in over a dozen
movies and TV shows.
This match marks the first time these popular competitors have
ever wrestled.
