NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Join Us
for the Second Two-Day CSR Certificate Program with The
Governance & Accountability Institute and The Institute for
Ethical Leadership at Rutgers Business School (Sept. 28 and 29, 2016) - Early Bird Registration
until 8/31
The Institute for Ethical Leadership at Rutgers Business School
and Governance & Accountability Institute announce their second
program in the two-day learning and knowledge-sharing curriculum
leading to a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
This session builds on the success of the introductory program held
in May, 2016.
An outstanding group of keynoters, panel moderators and speakers
is lining up for the program. Participants will have a choice
of two tracks – one for topics relevant to corporate CSR
professionals and the other for not-for-profit/social sector
organization topics, with plenary sessions to share knowledge and
experience with all participants across sectors.
"Working in corporate social responsibility is similar to
working in non-profits: doing good and working with a corporation
conscious of environmental, sustainability, and social issues,"
said Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership Co-Founder and
non-profit executive headhunter James
Abruzzo. "The CSR Certificate Program at Rutgers gives non-profit professionals three major
benefits: one, learn about careers in CSR; two, learn the
evaluation tools that you can use to identify companies truly
invested in CSR – not just giving it lip service; and three, make
valuable contacts in the CSR, philanthropy, and fund- raising
world."
The fall program will be on Sept.
28 and 29 at the Rutgers Business School campus in downtown
Newark, New Jersey, minutes from
NYC by NJ Transit or PATH
Train. Early Bird Registration is available for the two-day
course now until August 31 and group
rates are available for three or more participants from the same
company or organization.
To date, among those confirmed as faculty are outstanding
not-for-profit sector and corporate sector leaders; Ellen
Lambert, president of PESG Foundation and chief diversity
officer one of the nation's leading energy providers; Wanda
Lopuch, chair of the board at The Global Sourcing Council
(GSC); Georg Kell, founding director
and long-time leader of the United Nations Global Compact
(UNGC) and vice chairman, Arabesque Partners.
The topics to be covered in the two-day program include:
- CSR Through the Investor Lens – How today's investors are
embracing the CSR approaches as they seek "Alpha" returns for their
portfolios.
- CSR Executive Panel – CSR executives from sustainability
leadership organizations will share their knowledge and experience
with program participants.
- Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – How these are
integrated with corporate strategies and how the not-for-profit /
social sector could align missions with SDGs.
- CSR / Sustainability Reporting Standards – Learning more
about the globally-accepted reporting and disclosure standards
increasingly used by major corporations.
- CSR Partnerships – How non-profits and corporations are joining
forces to move the needle on CSR goals.
